The Government of India says that till January 30 this year, 2.24 lakh crore rupees will be distributed to more eligible farmers as income support. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is for ordinary and marginal farmers, regardless of how much land they have.

As per the Department of Agriculture, the Government of India disbursed the 12th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in October 2022.
It has been explicitly stated that farmers must have their KYC (Know Your Customer) certified in order to avail themselves of the benefits associated with this installment. Failure to confirm the KYC details will result in farmers being ineligible to receive the benefits of the 12th installment of the PM Kisan scheme. The installment amount will be deposited in the farmer’s bank account.
